The movie, trailers and ads were 3 hours (the movie is roughly 2.5 hrs) i felt like i had only been watching for 30 minutes, the food untouched, drink untouched and when i left, my body and soul had been taken on a journey aboard the Event Horizon, through a vortex that threw my mind and body thought a vortex of unimaginable shock and turmoil.
I have not had a film take me on a journey such as this for so long, i dont even remember what movie it was, our heroes are human, they are not are not just super, they are like us, they have special abilities that we can see, but frailties that are hidden, but not anymore.
I felt with them, went through their hardships with them, saw their inner demons face to face and stood against those demons side by side with them. We saw them for real, like us in many ways, but with the additional bonus of special abilities.
I left part broken, part of me was left behind in that theatre, all of me wanted to straight away find out when the sequel was, if you tell me there is non, then a void will exist in me for a long time.
Yes, it is only a movie, but it has been directed to show them as not Gods above us all the time, separate from us, somewhere else, as heroes who are elsewhere, this time we saw and felt them amongst us, we felt all their pain and suffering, this time, we were all in the experience together.
You will go and watch an Avengers movie you will know you have left having watched something else, something better, something that grabs you around the throat, tosses you around and then kicks you before your head has stopped spinning, then for good measure, when you think there can be no more, you are right, there is no more, now, like millions of others after watching this movie, i wait quietly for someone to tell me when the saga continues.
My only prayer is that they don't keep me waiting too long. br> For all Avengers and super heroes fans, watch this movie, dont miss it, but be prepared to be taken down a path laid with thorns...
